Tips & Spells

1) Have you ever needed a quick reference of where the absolute center of your canvas is? Then
this tip will help.
This tip was developed by me to save me time when I was using one of the selection tools to draw a
shape that was to be filled or manipulated, or to draw a line with the pen or brush tools. I also use it just
to have a frame of reference for where the middle of my picture is.
2) Here's a quick tip to help you smooth out those choppy gradient blends.
After you've applied the gradient tool, don't deselect. Instead, apply the Noise Filter. Set the amount to
3 & choose Gaussian. This will smooth out almost any gradient. The only exception is when you use
certain extreme color variantsIf you like to use the clouds filter, here's something you should know.
When you create a new picture that is a multiple of 64... => 128 / 256 / 512 / etc., the Clouds filter will
automatically create a seamless pattern of clouds! That means your clouds pattern effect will wrap
around the edges of your canvas and appear on the opposite side. If you tiled this image, as you might
for a web page background, it would be seamless.dll
